Save Money with Voluntary Benefits

Voluntary benefits can save you money, with the convenience of after-tax paycheck deductions. A variety of options are available to help you protect your family, home, car and pets.

It’s worth checking out…

For 2025, OU Health is increasing the coverage available through the accident, critical illness and hospital indemnity insurance options… without any increase in the per-paycheck cost to you.

Here are examples of the increased coverage to take effect Jan. 1, 2025:

  • Additional coverage through the critical illness insurance plan:
  • Maximum benefit of $40,000 (increased from $30,000 in 2024)
  • 50% benefit upon diagnosis of non-invasive cancer (increased from 25% in 2024); invasive cancer still covered at 100%
  • $500 lump-sum payment upon diagnosis of skin cancer (increased from $250 in 2024)
  • New: 25% of the cost of up to five days of hospitalization due to Covid
  • Addition of a $50 per year wellness benefit per covered person through:
  • Accident insurance
  • Hospital indemnity insurance

Consider how these benefits could help you supplement your other benefits coverage for you and your family.

Critical Illness Insurance pays a lump-sum benefit when you or an eligible family member is diagnosed with a covered condition such as cancer, heart attack, stroke, major organ transplant or kidney failure.

Hospital Indemnity Insurance pays a set benefit amount for covered hospital stays including maternity, intensive care unit (ICU) and non-ICU hospitalizations.

Legal Services Plan offers reduced fees and/or discounts for legal advice and services on a variety of personal legal issues from a nationwide network of attorneys.
